Visitor Essentials

Neimen 308 Highland is situated on the ridge line bordering Neimen District in Kaohsiung and Zuozhen District in Tainan. It is named for its elevation of 308 meters. Locals also call it 'Wanggaoliao' (Watchtower), as it serves as the highest point among the surrounding mountains and offers the best views of the badlands topography. Southern Taiwan's badlands topography is found in the shallow mountainous regions of Kaohsiung and Tainan, characterized by barren mudstone areas where not a blade of grass grows. Its jagged, exposed, and steep ridges create the impression of being on the moon's surface, earning it the popular nickname 'Moon World'.
