Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum

Established in 2001, the Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum bears the important mission of preserving and passing on Hakka cultural history. It is planned and operated with the concept of a community museum, aiming to achieve cultural subjectivity and regional cultural development. The museum showcases Meinong's multifaceted history and culture, integrates with the community, and enhances understanding and interaction among local ethnic groups. The building's architectural style, combining the form of a tobacco barn and traditional courtyard house design, is both stately and rustic. Inside, through its two floors of exhibition space, the museum offers visitors insights into the rich Hakka daily life and culture, illustrating the various facets of Hakka culture in the Meinong region. It utilizes various media, artifacts, photographs, documents, films, videotapes, replicated models, ecological landscapes, and interactive exhibits to present diverse historical features and deeply portray the interaction between ethnic characteristics and the environment within its artifact displays. The entire museum includes special exhibition rooms, a thematic hall, and artifact exhibition rooms on the first floor, as well as a children's exploration zone and a ceremonial artifacts room on the second floor. The overall environment is serene and comfortable, consistently attracting numerous visitors on holidays.
