The Baishu Community, located near Qiaotou Sugar Refinery and provincial highways, was originally just an ordinary, unremarkable small village. In 2011, propelled by the Qiaozaitou Cultural and Historical Association, eight artists were invited to paint murals on old houses in the Baishu Community. Starting from Daitian Temple, the community's spiritual center, the artwork extends to both sides. The creations, each with its own distinct style, range from eerie and humorous to cute and heartwarming. Some pieces integrate with rural culture, while others are alternative works creating a contrasting impact. They add color to monotonous red brick or corrugated iron houses and inject vibrant new energy into the old rural village. Some dilapidated walls, rejuvenated by the artists' skillful hands, have surprisingly become the most popular corners for installation art. Visitors can happily take photos with their favorite graffiti art and freely stroll through the community, enjoying the slow-paced, relaxed ambiance of the countryside.
