Walking at the intersection of Zhongzheng Road and Guangfu Road in Fengshan District, your eyes will be drawn to a towering, imitation Gothic European-style building on the skyline. This beautiful, white, and elegant church is the historic Fengshan Presbyterian Church. In 1867, Dr. James Maxwell of the English Presbyterian Mission purchased land at Fengshan's North Gate to preach, which became the precursor to the Fengshan Presbyterian Church. After numerous renovations, it has taken on its current appearance. Its high-ceilinged Gothic twin-tower structure is graceful and elegant, with spires reaching towards the sky. The large cross on its facade, simple yet reassuring, combined with the fan-shaped long staircase, further enhances the church's solemn and ethereal presence. Around Christmas, the Presbyterian Church illuminates colorful lights and decorates a Christmas tree. This dazzling festive celebration adorns Fengshan's winter nights with romantic and joyful colors. Furthermore, the church's location at the North Gate of ancient Fengshan adds a significant touch of history and culture.
