The Zhang Family Ancestral Home, located in Tong'an Village, Ancuo Li, Ziguan District, was built during the Qing Dynasty. It is the best-preserved and most complete Fujianese-style *sanheyuan* courtyard house in Ziguan District. Most residents of Tong'an Village immigrated from Tong'an, Fujian, during the Koxinga period and settled in the fertile Ziguan Plain. The Zhang family, benefiting from the auspicious land, produced outstanding individuals, and the grand *sanheyuan* with its 'Nine-enclosed-five' layout symbolizes the family's wealth and prosperity. The ancestral home is a relatively rare two-hall deep, red-tiled and red-brick building, complete with side wings and annexes. The ridged gables and bird treads on the roof, as well as the decorative window frames, exhibit elegant lines. The two characters '梅魁' (Mei Kui - Plum Champion) are inscribed on the lintel of the main hall, and the antique lamps in the hall evoke a sense of historical charm. From the exquisite wood-carved window lattices and colorful decorations, one can envision the refined lifestyle and opulent taste of the mansion's owner in those days.
