Baiyun Temple

Baiyun Temple, situated on the Baishalun Sand Dunes, is the highest-situated temple in Qieding District. Built in the 28th year of the Republic (1939), it primarily enshrines Sakyamuni Buddha. Its palace-style architecture features yellow glazed tiles and vermilion beams and pillars, making it grand and majestic, with a serene environment. Backed by sand dunes and facing a plain formed by the siltation of an ancient lagoon, climbing high for a panoramic view broadens one's horizons. With morning lessons and evening prayers, the drifting sound of the bell is enough to make people forget worldly troubles.
