Air Force Museum

In the early years of the Republic of China, the Father of the Nation recognized the importance of aviation to national defense and military affairs. He personally penned "Aviation for National Salvation" and predicted that in future wars, aircraft would be the ultimate weapon of victory. Therefore, starting in 1928, an aviation corps was first established in Nanjing, followed by the Central Air Force Academy to cultivate our nation's aviation elites. Having gone through the Eastern Expedition, the Northern Expedition, bandit suppression campaigns, the War of Resistance against Japan, and even the Communist Rebellion, the Air Force Museum was specially established at the Gangshan Air Force Academy. This was done to commemorate the Air Force's glorious history of dedication to the nation and its heroic, moving deeds, featuring over 20,000 artifacts across twenty-two exhibition units. From Tuesday to Friday, the museum is open only to organizations, schools, and groups by appointment. On Saturdays and Sundays, it is open for free visits by military personnel and the general public.
