Located in Salty Water Puzi, southwest of Neidong Village in Neimen District, this area is characterized by badlands geology composed of mudstone. Years of wind and rain erosion have sculpted its terrain into miraculously formed peaks and steep cliffs. Coupled with the erosion by the Erren River, which created a series of peaks, the entire mountainous area derived its name from resembling a formation of flying wild geese. The scenery of Yanmen is magnificent and ever-changing, appearing differently in the morning, evening, sunny, or rainy conditions. Particularly due to the dry soil, whenever it rains, the steaming heat and misty drizzle create a spectacular sight. This dreamlike and ethereal beauty has been listed as one of the Eight Sceneries of Taiyang since the Qing Dynasty. Along the Yanmen Misty Rain route, the mountain ridges are grand, the valleys winding, and it offers distant views of the Chianan Plain, making it a tourist route with diverse and enchanting landscapes.
