Golden Lion Lake Scenic Area

Golden Lion Lake was originally named Dapi. It was named for Lion Mountain behind it and its hook-shaped lake surface resembling a crouching lion. It is one of the water storage ponds at the source of the Love River, serving the functions of flood control and water regulation. Although it is a relatively less-known attraction in Kaohsiung, the scenery of Golden Lion Lake is still worth a visit. It features a beautiful lakeside promenade, rich flora and fauna, handicraft courses, and the popular Deh Yuan Temple and Bao'an Temple. Visitors with enough stamina can even extend their trip to include Chengcing Lake and Niaosong Wetland.
