Shayezi Linpi Wetland Park

The long and narrow Shayezi Linpi Wetland Park is located in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung City, nestled between Dingjin Hou Road and the Dingjin System Interchange. It stands as one of Kaohsiung City's recently rehabilitated pond wetland parks, successfully integrating flood retention, flood prevention, recreational education, and ecological functions. To the north of the park lies the "Ecological Dense Forest Area," where a lush forest of native mango trees serves as the city's lungs, effectively blocking and buffering the ecological and environmental disturbances emanating from the northern highway. The "Ecological Maintenance Area," in contrast, involved deepening and dredging the original terrain to create ecological floating islands and aquatic cultivation zones. These areas are extensively planted with aquatic species like ginger lily, arrowhead, and cattail, leveraging the ecological pond's natural self-purification mechanisms to enhance water quality. The park's refreshing environment and vibrant greenery draw in waterfowl and other wildlife. With its cycling paths and verdant shade, it offers a tranquil retreat for visitors to relax and unwind, truly making it Kaohsiung City's beautiful backyard garden.
