Anding Bao'an Temple

Anding Bao'an Temple was founded in the first year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty (1796 AD). It primarily venerates Emperor Baosheng Dadi and Mazu (Heavenly Holy Mother), and also jointly venerates other deities such as the City God, Marshal Xie, the Goddess of Childbirth, Marshal Tian, Marshal Zhongtan, the Earth God, and the Tiger General. In the first year of the Jiaqing reign (1796 AD), the old Bao'an Temple was originally located at Dadaogongying (approximately one kilometer east of the current temple, near 'Gongjiujue'). On the sixth day of the sixth month of the first year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (June 6, 1862), a major earthquake struck, severely damaging the village. The temple was also heavily damaged and collapsed. As the village's prosperity gradually declined, local elders, recognizing the situation, strongly advocated and initiated a joint reconstruction effort involving the chiefs of eighteen villages. In the third year of the Tongzhi reign (1865 AD), the new temple was rebuilt at the end of Zhijialong Village. In the third year of the Taishō era (1914 AD), the temple was rebuilt at its current site.
