Xianzhu Temple (Ziyun Hall)

Hiking enthusiasts are certainly no strangers to Xianzhu Temple. Xianzhu Temple (Ziyun Hall) is located not far from the trailhead of Dadong Mountain, Tainan's highest peak. The temple occupies a very large area, primarily worshipping Immortal Ancestor Lü Dongbin and the founder of Taoism, Li Er (Laozi). The temple environment is tranquil and lush with greenery, with sparse trees in the garden and blooming flowers, and the nine golden dragons in the Nine Dragon Pond appear lifelike. The atmosphere of the temple is aptly described by the saying, 'A mountain needs not be high to be famous if an immortal resides there; a body of water needs not be deep to be sacred if a dragon dwells within.' Xianzhu Temple is a resting place many hikers wouldn't miss. Its elegant environment and serene temple atmosphere indeed make it a great spot for many busy modern people to slow down.
