If you travel along Provincial Highway 3 and Provincial Highway 20, you'll surely be familiar with the giant Guanyin statue atop the distant mountain. That is the landmark of Wufengshan Longhu Temple. The Buddhist temple, which relocated here in 1816, is renowned for its divine miracles and has become one of the local guardian deities. In front of Longhu Temple, there's an excellent 180-degree panoramic view, offering sights of the Cieding area of Kaohsiung and the urban landscape of Tainan. Numerous cafes are nearby, and you can also connect to the Wushan hiking trail. On weekend mornings, many visitors come for worship, hiking, and picnics. In the afternoon, you can choose a favorite cafe to sit back and admire the beautiful mountain mist amidst the trees, and with the majestic Guanyin statue, it truly brings a sense of inner peace. At night, the lights around the Guanyin statue illuminate, making Guanyin Bodhisattva appear to radiate divine light, mirroring the splendid city nightscape below, like a benevolent elder watching over the city.
