New Heavenly King Temple

The New Heavenly King Temple, a village temple in Shazitian, is located south of Yujing town. It primarily worships Lìwáng Dàqiānsùi, Pangu Wànsuì (also known as Dàwánggōng), and Tiānwáng Qiānsùi. Established in the 15th year of the Guangxu reign (1889), it was originally called Dàwánggōng Temple. During the Tapani Incident in the Taishō era (1915), it once served as a Japanese settlement. Its grand current appearance was constructed in 1990. Inside the temple, there is a 'Wall of Loyalty and Righteousness' with poems and prose divinely revealed by the three royal brothers carved onto it, making it a distinctive sight. The Shan'yi Pavilion (Pavilion of Benevolence and Righteousness), built with funds raised by the devout followers of the New Heavenly King Temple, was inaugurated on May 17, 2009. The interior walls of the pavilion record the spirit of benevolence and righteousness of generous individuals, commemorate Mr. Xu Qingxi's virtuous deeds and righteous conduct, and inscribe his maxims on cultivating the Dao. It also documents his spiritual journey, his earnest teachings, and his utmost care and protection for younger generations, allowing those who are destined and sincere in cultivating the Dao to comprehend and follow them.
