The Orchid Botanical Garden, located in Niouchoupu, Shanshang District, Tainan, was founded by the 'Godfather of Orchids,' Wu Ming-kun, and his wife. Initially dedicated to the orchid seedling improvement industry, the couple realized after several years that such beautiful plants as orchids should be shared with more people to foster appreciation and preserve their charm. This led to the establishment of the Taiwan Orchidaceae Botanical Garden. The park features an orchid conservation area, orchid greenhouses, and ecological gardens, with free admission. Additionally, a restaurant is located within the park.
