Huyue Suspension Bridge

Hutoupi is Taiwan's first reservoir, and over its more than a hundred years of history, it has been praised by many literati and scholars. This site also served as a filming location for Jay Chou's movie "The Rooftop." After the Huyue Suspension Bridge was built in 1905, it further enhanced the lake's charm. For over a century, the suspension bridge spanning the water has always complemented the sunrise and morning glow over the lake's shore, as well as the lingering hues of sunset in the evening. Walking across the suspension bridge leads to a small island in the middle of the lake, where the scenic pavilion offers the best vantage point to admire the beauty of this aquatic area. On holidays, it's common to see leisurely travelers sitting here, enjoying the various boats on the lake.
