Haian Road Art Street

In recent years, Haian Road has become Tainan's most bustling pedestrian art district at night. On both sides, you can still see the dilapidated remnants of houses that were partially demolished for road widening, with exposed rebar and weathered bricks and tiles. Under the strong initiative of renowned curator Tu Chao-hsien, dozens of artists have utilized the existing topography to re-create and design various styles of public art, transforming the street into a unique open-air museum. With the projection of brilliant lights, Haian Road transforms into the most beautiful star at night. Hand in hand, stroll along the wide, grey-white promenade.
