Hatta Yoichi Memorial Park

The Hatta Yoichi Memorial Park is located on the north side of Wushantou Reservoir. It was established to commemorate Mr. Yoichi Hatta, the builder of the Chianan Irrigation System. The buildings of the memorial park underwent renovation in 2009. After two years of work, the park officially opened in 2011. To faithfully preserve its original appearance, technicians involved in the restoration project traveled to Hatta Yoichi's hometown, Ishikawa Prefecture, to gather architectural references, and Japanese carpentry techniques were introduced for the construction of this park.
