The Pheasant-tailed Jacana Ecological Education Park is the best place for birdwatching in the Guantian area. It is also the result of over a decade of joint efforts by bird lovers who have long observed the ecology of the Pheasant-tailed Jacana. Starting with just two container houses and a patch of barren land, they gradually established an environment suitable for Pheasant-tailed Jacanas to live. With water caltrops and paddy fields planted all around, food sources for birds are abundant, making this pond full of life. Visitors can explore from the birdwatching pavilion within the park using the provided binoculars. The grid-like birdwatching window frames in the pavilion are like paintings hung on a wall, but each frame offers a different view. Birds are very sensitive animals, so it's essential to be quiet when birdwatching and appreciate them silently through the binoculars. During breeding season, Pheasant-tailed Jacanas fly and call over the waters of the ecological protected area, performing a spectacular dance. After the little jacanas are born, their parents can be seen busily feeding them. It is a paradise for the 'fairies of the water' and a hidden gem for bird lovers.
