Visitor Essentials
Built in 1946, the temple primarily worships Fuyou Dijun (Lü Dongbin) and was established by Mr. Lin Jing-tang from Liuying. Over time, as its popularity grew, it was expanded to its current form. Zhennan Temple is conveniently located near the Yoichi Hatta Memorial Park, Wusanto Reservoir, and the ITRI Liujia Campus. After visiting, one can take an easy hike along the Chishan Trail behind the temple. The trail is clearly marked and gentle, featuring facilities like observation decks and resting platforms, and a beautiful lemon-scented gum forest hidden within. The trail leads to the small lake by ITRI, as well as the Coral Lake Campground and Siyuan Tower in Wusanto, offering beautiful scenery along the way. Most visitors are local residents familiar with the area. It's common to see them picnicking with snacks and freshly brewed tea at the trail's pavilions, enjoying a leisurely time. Due to fewer tourists, it feels like a hidden gem.
