Siraya Tribe - Jibeishua

Jibeishua is a small village situated alongside the beautiful Provincial Highway 165. In the Siraya language, its name is Kabua-sua, meaning 'kapok,' indicating that this is a beautiful tribe once graced by kapok trees. Despite the passage of time and the gradual disappearance of kapok trees from the village, the ancestral blood flowing in the people's veins continues to remind them: 'You are Siraya.' Both Alimu (the Mother Goddess) and the ancestral spirits still watch over them, and Alimu's blessings have allowed the people and the land to coexist peacefully on this beautiful plain.
