Visitor Essentials

The elegant white arched structure gracefully extending along the blue coast is many people's first impression of Liukong Wharf. Every evening, the wharf becomes even more dazzling when bathed in the sunset's glow. Besides being a major hub for taking bamboo rafts to tour the lagoon, Liukong Wharf also houses a visitor center and its management office. Most importantly, it is the annual venue for the Cigu Seafood Festival. When the most popular clam digging event kicks off, it always attracts many parent-child pairs from all over Taiwan to experience digging for clams. On the shore, everyone eagerly rubs their hands, ready to demonstrate their skills. Until the organizer gives the signal, everyone steps barefoot into the shallow flats, feeling for the Chizui clams in the mud beneath their feet, hoping their buckets will be full. This unique and fun experience always keeps children playing until they are reluctant to leave.
