Visitor Essentials

Yantian Yongzhen Temple was originally located in Nanliao, Anshun Salt Field. It was built in 1952 (ROC Year 41). The temple's name is derived from the character "Yong" (永) from its ancestral temple, Beimen Yonglong Temple, and the character "Zhen" (鎮) from Zhenhai Yuanshuai (Marshal Zhenhai) of Sizicao Dazhong Temple, hence it is called "Yantian Yongzhen Temple". In the early 2000s, in conjunction with the development of the Tainan Science and Technology Industrial Park and ecological preservation efforts, Yantian Village was relocated to its present site. Yongzhen Temple, in turn, celebrated its completion and the "entering of fire and peaceful seating" ceremony at the current location in September 2005 (ROC Year 94).
