Visitor Essentials

The Shengli National School Auditorium is located within the present-day Shengli Elementary School. It was originally Zhumei National School in Tainan City, founded in 1939, serving as an elementary school for Taiwanese children. After World War II, it was the only elementary school in Tainan City's East District. To commemorate the victory in the Anti-Japanese War at that time, the school's name was changed to Shengli National School. In 1953, with the assistance of the National Army Engineer Support Unit, the auditorium was constructed. Its architectural feature is a large-span, double-pitched sloping roof built from small timber components.
