Zhu Jiuying Former Residence

The Zhu Jiuying Former Residence, located next to the Tait & Co. Anping Branch, was originally a dormitory for Taiwan Salt. It is also known as 'Yin Yan Jiu Ding'. Mr. Zhu Jiuying, who once served as the Director-General of the Salt Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Finance, settled here because of his work with salt, which is why it bears this name. Inside the building, there is an exhibition of Mr. Zhu Jiuying's contemporary Yan-style calligraphy. As a renowned calligrapher, he left behind many works. He lived in Anping for a long time in his later years and called himself the 'Old Man of Anping'.
