Former Tainan Patriotic Women's Association Building

The Japan Patriotic Women's Association was the main women's organization during World War II in Japan. Its members were mostly women with social status and higher education. Its objectives were to care for local development and engage in social services. While its headquarters were in Taipei, this location served as its southern branch. The association hall was built in 1920, situated right next to the now well-known Lily Fruit Ice. It is a typical Japanese-Western style building, divided into a north wing and a south wing. The north wing served as the association hall, while the south wing was the dormitory area.
