Lu Jingtang Mansion in Anping

Located next to Anping Tiangong Temple, the Lu Jingtang Mansion has become a very popular historical site in recent years. It is also just a few steps away from the bustling Anping Fort, making it an ideal place to visit after exploring these two major historical sites. It was the residence of Lu Jingtang, a wealthy merchant in Anping during the Qing Dynasty. Because Lu Jingtang was tall, he was nicknamed "Laoqi." Consequently, there is an Anping proverb that says, "One can be as wealthy as Laoqi, but cannot possess a mansion as grand as Laoqi's," illustrating the immense scale of his residence.
