Kaiji Lingyou Temple

Kaiji Lingyou Temple was built in 1665 AD. It primarily worships Emperor Xuanwu. Inside the temple, there is Taiwan's only statue of Emperor Xuanwu with a golden face. Because it was established at the earliest time, it carries the name "Kaiji" (original foundation). However, due to its smaller scale compared to Beiji Temple on Minquan Road, it is also known as "Little Shangdi Temple." Due to its long history, it has undergone several renovations and suffered damage during World War II. The current orientation of the temple was changed during the Japanese colonial period, and the traces of this change are still preserved and displayed on site today.
