Jingfu Shrine

Built in 1750, Jingfu Shrine is a very important Earth God temple in the Puji Street area and the only Earth God temple in Tainan designated as a historic monument. In the past, this location was Fotou Port, one of the Five Canals (Wutiaogang), bustling with merchant ships and thriving with worshippers. Inside the temple, an ancient plaque from the Jiaqing era bears the inscription '萬物資生' (All things are nurtured). Although Fotou Port's traces are no longer visible today, the preserved Jingfu Shrine allows future generations to imagine its former glory.
