Located next to Anping Tree House, this Western-style building with a pure white exterior is the former British Deji Trading House. It was established by the British firm Deji Trading House in Anping, Tainan, after the port of Anping opened, and was one of the five major trading houses at the time. In its early days, when port transport was still viable, the Deji Trading House, located by the harbor, primarily exported sugar, camphor, and tea, and imported opium, making it a prosperous and important commercial hub for a period. Today, the Deji Trading House has long lost its commercial function and has been repurposed as the 'Taiwan Pioneer History Wax Museum,' which showcases early Taiwanese life through wax figures. In 2001, the Taiwan Pioneer History Wax Museum designed a 'Time Corridor' to comprehensively display the history and development of the Deji Trading House.
