Taiwan Official Sacrificial Martial Temple

The Taiwan Official Sacrificial Martial Temple was founded during the Koxinga era and has a history of over 350 years. It primarily enshrines Guan Sheng Emperor (Lord Guan), and is the only Guan Di Temple in Taiwan included in official sacrificial ceremonies. Guan Sheng Emperor is the ancient 'God of War.' Due to his characteristics of righteousness, valor, and loyalty, he is also revered as the principal deity by various industries, who believe he can bring prosperity to business. Simultaneously, Guan Sheng Emperor is also revered by Buddhists as 'Sangharama Bodhisattva,' meaning the protector of Buddhist temples and the Dharma.
