Kunxibay Cultural Park - Bao'an Temple

Bao'an Temple was established in 1946. Although not a century-old temple, it houses extremely precious cultural assets, which is very rare in Taiwan. This single temple features works by four National Heritage Award masters: Koji pottery (cut-and-paste ceramic shards) by Master Ye Jin-lu, door god paintings and beam-and-bracket paintings by Master Pan Li-shui, altar niche murals by Master Cai Cao-ru, and stone carvings by Master Shi Hong-yi. It can be said that the masterpieces of these four renowned artists are gathered under one roof. Due to years of smoke and incense pollution, during its reconstruction in 2014, the masters' works were also cleaned, restored, and reinforced, making the temple's interior and exterior look brand new and allowing their exquisite artworks to shine brilliantly once again.
