Yongkang Park

Stepping into Yongkang Park, the towering coconut trees on both sides immediately evoke the feeling of being in a South Pacific nation. The lush lotus pond is another unmissable sight within the park. Yongkang Park was originally named Yunshan Farm and formerly served as President Chiang Ching-kuo's official residence. In the 1960s, when Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo traveled south for inspections, he stayed in the farmhouse at Yunshan Farm. It was later rebuilt into a park, but the residence was preserved and became the Chiang Ching-kuo Memorial Cultural Center. The park boasts rich ecology; along the ecological trail, visitors can observe many small creatures thriving within. Facilities also include a sandpit pavilion and an observation deck. This serene environment, imbued with a southern country atmosphere, has become an excellent nearby spot for citizens to stroll and enjoy nature.
