Xuankong Fasi, located near Zengwen Reservoir, was built in 2002 by its founding abbot, Master Quanzhen. It propagates the 'Profound Emptiness Prajñā Wonderful Dharma,' guiding devotees and those with affinity in their spiritual practice. The temple's architecture includes the 'Dharma Protector Hall,' primarily dedicated to Bodhisattva Sangharama, and the Guanyin Hall, dedicated to Bodhisattva Guanyin. Voted number one among Taiwan's top 100 religious sites, Xuankong Fasi is also renowned for its meticulously designed garden landscapes, which teach and enlighten through their environment. The temple's treasure, the 'Buddha Heart Seal Sacred Stone,' weighs 152 metric tons and has a large 'Buddha' character and the complete text of the 'Heart Sutra' carved upon it. The gardens feature towering stalactites and stalagmites, creating a garden landscape rich in Zen inspiration.
