Nanhua Reservoir

Whenever one travels from Tainan along Provincial Highway 20 towards Jiaxian, it's hard not to be captivated by the azure surface of the lake. Many people always stop their cars and gaze out from the higher vantage points. Nanhua Reservoir is not only an an important water supply reservoir for Tainan, but also a significant recreational area and historical site. Below the Nanhua Reservoir dam is the historic Tapani Battlefield. The Nanhua District Office has also established the Military History Park, Environmental Park, and Waterfront Park here, collectively known as the 'Origin Journey Leisure Park'.
