Bao'an Station

Built in 1899, Bao'an Station was originally named Cherukian Station (車路墘車站). Its original location was approximately 1.5 kilometers south of its current site. It was later relocated to its present location for the convenience of transportation for the Cherukian Sugar Refinery. It is currently the best-preserved Japanese colonial-era wooden station in Taiwan. The station building is constructed from Alishan cypress and still retains its historical appearance today. It serves as a significant shared memory and an important transportation hub for local residents and students of Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science.
