This is the former tomb site of Koxinga (Zheng Chenggong) and his son, Zheng Jing. According to Gao Gongqian's 'Gazetteer of Taiwan Prefecture', they were recorded as being 'buried in Zhouziwei, Wuding Li, Taiwan County,' which is now Yanzhou Li, Yongkang District. In the 38th year of Kangxi's reign (1699) during the Qing Dynasty, they were reinterred by imperial decree in Nan'an, Fujian. In 1980, the former Tainan County Government erected the 'Koxinga Memorial Monument' here in commemoration.
