Yanshui Wumiao Temple

Yanshui Wumiao Temple primarily enshrines Guan Sheng Di Jun. According to legend, during the late Ming Dynasty, a portrait of Guan Sheng Di Jun, worshipped by a devout woman in Madou, was carried by a gust of wind to a banyan tree in Yanshui, more than ten kilometers away, and could not be brought back. Locals interpreted this as a divine miracle and built a temple on that very spot to enshrine and worship him. To this day, it remains the spiritual heart of Yanshui.
