In ancient times, Yuejin Port in Yanshui was bustling with merchants and merchant ships. The fishing lights at Jubo (Jubo Yuhuo) were one of the Eight Scenic Views of Yuejin at that time. Dazhong Temple, located next to Jubo Pavilion, was built in 1741 AD. It primarily enshrines General Lei (Lei-fu Da Jiang Gong) and is one of the local branches of Yanshui Hupi Palace's Second Mazu. The temple grounds are serene, and the large tree in front of the temple is a popular spot for many locals to chat and relax in the afternoon. The most distinctive feature of the temple is a small shrine built by the temple caretaker in 1990, using approximately 5,000 mahjong tiles. This has become a 'temple within a temple' at Jubo Pavilion Dazhong Temple. It enshrines the Martial God of Wealth. Many devotees place their examination admission tickets or business cards inside the small shrine or in the deity's hands, praying for success in exams and business. This has become a unique attraction within Dazhong Temple.
