The historic building 'Fourth Market,' located on Nanjing Road in Taichung's East District, was revitalized by the city government through the introduction of private resources and creative ideas. It officially opened on December 4, 2021, transformed into an attraction that combines youth entrepreneurship and cultural heritage. The exterior of the historic Fourth Market building retains its pavilion-style roof design, while the interior features a harmonious blend of white metal tables and chairs, weathered old market signs, and a literary-themed reading area. Its unique style has made it a popular photo spot in Taichung. The venue periodically hosts historical and cultural exhibitions, manga and illustration-themed events, or local youth entrepreneurship markets. It also offers merchandise sales and light meal services, combining manga and illustration themes with local agricultural products, thereby creating a space in the East District that provides both local cultural experiences and leisure entertainment, while simultaneously serving the functions of historical building preservation and revitalization, and supporting youth entrepreneurship.
