Huanshan Tribal Village

Located in the upper reaches of the Dajia River basin, it was historically the sole access point for ascending Xueshan (Snow Mountain). The settlement is a valley basin, encircled by mountains exceeding 3,000 meters in height, which gives it its name, 'Huanshan' (Mountain-Encircling). It is also the largest settlement along the Yilan branch of the Central Cross-Island Highway.
