Taiwan Match Story Museum

The "Taiwan Match Story Museum" is an exhibition venue dedicated to the theme of matches. It provides a detailed introduction to the history of match invention and the rise and fall of Taiwan's match industry. The museum showcases a diverse range of artifacts, including fire-starting tools, match-related smoking accessories, matchboxes from the Japanese colonial period, Taiwanese advertising matchboxes, foreign imported matchboxes, as well as match factory documents and employee uniforms. Furthermore, the museum has specially borrowed items from the National Science and Technology Museum's collection, such as a matchstick typesetting machine and a matchstick transport vehicle. The rich variety of exhibits allows visitors to appreciate and savor them, evoking memories of past daily life. It is an exploratory space where visitors of all ages can discover the stories of matches. Families are welcome to visit.
