Chang Hwa Bank Head Office and History Museum

The Taichung Chang Hwa Bank Head Office, located at the intersection of Taiwan Boulevard and Ziyou Road, was built during Japan's Showa era. The architecture features an ancient Greek and Roman colonnade style, boasting a majestic appearance and exquisite, delicate craftsmanship. It is a famous landmark in Taichung, designated as a city-level historic monument. As Taiwan's earliest bank established with private funding, it holds precious value for cultural heritage preservation and research. To this day, the building continues to be used by the business department of the Chang Hwa Bank Head Office. The second floor houses a history museum, preserving historical and cultural materials from that period, and visits are by appointment only.
