The Qingtonglin Ecological Park is situated around Beikeng Creek in Tonglin Village, Wufeng District, Taichung. Covering approximately 180 hectares, its elevation ranges from 300 to 500 meters, with its highest point being 'Wufeng Aoshan' (also known as 'Wufeng Qishan') at 483 meters. Two rivers, Beikeng Creek and Nankeng Creek, flow through the park. It was formerly leased to residents for fruit tree cultivation and reforestation. However, as tenants gradually shifted their farming activities elsewhere, the area experienced a prolonged period free from human development and destruction. This allowed the park to preserve its complete forest vegetation and landscape, rich with precious and rare flora and fauna. Adjacent to the Jiujiufeng Nature Reserve, the park's geology is characterized by the Toukeshan Formation, composed of pebbles, contributing to its unique rock wall geographical landscapes.
