The Choutengkeng Recreational Agricultural Zone was honored with the 'Growth Award' in the Recreational Agricultural Zone Assessment in both 2018 and 2021. Nestled amidst mountains and forests, besides common mountain insects, its most captivating insect star is the firefly. In recent years, the area has vigorously promoted firefly conservation, establishing them as its most valuable ecological resource. Thanks to the waters of Choutengkeng and Anyingkeng streams, the original forests in the mountains are well-preserved, boasting a rich natural ecosystem. Every April is the peak season for fireflies, which are as enchanting as starlight, making it one of the area's eco-tourism highlights. Visitors can also enjoy cooling off at the waterfront park, observe nocturnal fireflies, pick and taste fresh fruit in orchards, buy local specialties at the farmer's market, and hike the Anyingshan Trail for panoramic mountain views.
