Lishui Fishing Port

Lishui Fishing Port, located in Longjing District at the southwesternmost tip of Taichung, was originally an old fishing port with a history of development spanning a hundred years. Due to the impact of the construction of a nearby thermal power plant, its fishing industry gradually declined and lost popularity, with hardly any boats coming here to fish anymore, and only a few rafts remaining docked. Later, the abandoned coast guard checkpoint on the embankment was cleverly repurposed into a Greek-style blue and white observation deck. Additionally, with a cycling path nearby, it has become an excellent spot in Taichung for wedding photoshoots, watching sunsets, birdwatching, and cycling by the sea.
