Niumatou Heritage Cultural Park

The Niumatou Heritage Site is located on Aofeng Mountain in Qingshui District, Taichung City (formerly known as Niumatou), within the former Army Qingshui Camp, which is now part of the Taichung Port Special Zone Town Park. The Niumatou Heritage Site is representative of the Middle Neolithic culture in Central Taiwan, and its place name was used to designate this cultural type, making it the nation's first "named heritage site." Excavated pottery primarily consists of red and brown cord-marked pottery.
