Malipu Leisure Agriculture Area

The Malipu Leisure Agriculture Area was honored with the "Thriving Award" in the 2021 Leisure Agriculture Area Evaluation. It boasts abundant fruits and flowers, combining with the sea of flowers to develop local agricultural specialties and offer diverse experiences such as fruit picking, mushroom picking, and flower viewing, along with explanations of native plants and wetland ecology. This allows the Xinshe Sea of Flowers to offer both aesthetic pleasure and intellectual enrichment. Within the area, there are also historic old houses, where one can find pigsties, old wells, traditional stoves, etc., as well as the Malipu Painted Path, guided tours, and the ancient trees of Shuitoushuiwei, which include two camphor trees over 400 years old. Its historical culture and natural ecology showcase the beauty of a modern rural village. The surrounding area also offers recreational tourism facilities and attractions, including leisure farms, tourist orchards, and distinctive local cuisine. Annually, in conjunction with the Xinshe Sea of Flowers Festival, the area showcases and sells agricultural specialties and experiential tours from Taichung City's leisure agriculture areas, promoting the city's leisure agriculture tourism attractions and features to attract visitors.
