Miyahara Eye Clinic

This red-brick building, located by the Luchuan Canal near Taichung Railway Station, is the former site of Miyahara Eye Clinic, purchased by the 'Dawncake' team, famous in Taichung for their pineapple shortcakes. The exterior red-brick walls and old archway of Miyahara Eye Clinic have been perfectly preserved and transformed into a nostalgic arcade with red bricks and a wooden roof. Inside, the decor mimics a vintage high-ceiling library, creating a magical space that blends old and new eras. In the center of the store, an old, disused well has been cleverly repurposed into a modern circular glass donation box, showcasing the ingenuity of the design.
