Taichung City Artists Archive

The Taichung City Artists Archive is located on the north side of the 2nd floor of the Exhibition Hall of the Port Art Center, covering an area of approximately 340 square meters. Its establishment began in 1999, and it officially opened in 2001. By collecting and documenting visual files, audio-visual materials, and literature related to the works of both senior and contemporary Taiwanese artists, the archive aims to become a cultural hub in Taichung's coastal area, dedicated to recording the history of art development in Greater Taichung. For over two decades, the archive has continuously collected and exhibited relevant graphic and textual materials about artists from Greater Taichung, enabling the public to understand the context of art development in the region, including the artists' mentorships, artistic careers, and accomplishments.
